Care Guide
Tank setup: These larger corys need a wide, open sandy bottom, a heater, good filtration and some plants or driftwood for cover. Corys are sensitive to salt and some medications (especially copper), so check labels before treating the tank.
Feeding: Corys need their own food, not just leftovers. Feed sinking pellets or wafers once or twice a day so food reaches the bottom. They also enjoy frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp.
Tankmates: They get along with most peaceful community fish, including larger tetras, gouramis, angelfish and other corys. Avoid fish big enough to swallow them.
Good to know: Emerald corys are among the largest and hardiest corys and get greener as they mature.
