Collection: Wrasse

Wrasse fish are active colorful additions to marine aquariums. In the wild, many wrasse species form symbiotic relationships with larger marine fish. The word "wrasse" comes from the Cornish word for "old hag" due to the bent shape of the back on most wrasse. Of the 600 species within the Wrasse family, more than 100 wrasse species are available to the aquarium hobby. Most wrasse are small and live in tropical coral reefs, but some live as for north as Norway and the largest wrasse - the Humphead Wrasse - gets to eight feet. Sorry, the Humphead Wrasse is not available to our hobby.
