JBJ CO2 Tablets slowly release CO2 to live aquarium plants for the course of the day. For very lightly planted tanks these may not be necessary, but for medium planted tanks these are perfect sources of CO2 without the bother of a CO2 canister and diffuser system! When is use don't panic when you see these dissolve in just a couple hours....they are not designed to dissolve over a 24 hour period, but to deliver 24 hours worth of plant growing CO2 into the aquarium environment.
