Care Guide
Tank setup: Give them sturdy caves, heavy driftwood, strong filtration and good current. They are most active at night.
Feeding: Feed sinking pellets once a day, ideally in the evening when they are most active. They also enjoy frozen foods like bloodworms and shrimp.
Tankmates: Young adonis plecos are peaceful, but adults become territorial and can bully other bottom dwellers. Keep them with large, robust fish.
Good to know: Young adonis plecos are black with white polka dots, and the spots fade to gray as they grow.
