Sailfin plecos are named for their giant dorsal fin. Their pattern is a muted marble or spotted, and the L001 has a spotted one. Sometimes called the gold spotted sailfin pleco, these plecos grow very big and live a long time. Adaptable and hardy, they get along with all other fish but can outgrow a small aquarium.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Give them driftwood, caves and strong filtration, since large plecos produce a lot of waste.
Feeding: Feed algae wafers and sinking pellets once a day, ideally in the evening when they are most active. They also enjoy frozen bloodworms.
Tankmates: They get along with most fish, including cichlids. Avoid keeping two large plecos in the same tank.
Good to know: Sailfin plecos are named for their tall dorsal fin, and their gold spots stay bright as they grow.
