Butterfly koi do not have the specific color patterns of the show koi sought by enthusiasts. Instead, they display their own random color patterns unique to this long-fin hybrid. The long, flowing fins are remarkable when viewed from above.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Koi grow large and are best kept in an outdoor pond with strong filtration. They are cool-water fish and do not need a heater.
Feeding: Feed a quality koi or goldfish pellet once or twice a day, only as much as they eat in a few minutes. Feed less when the water is cool.
Tankmates: Koi get along with goldfish and other pond fish.
Good to know: Butterfly koi have long, flowing fins and are a cross between koi and Asian long-finned carp.
