The scientific name "herbertaxelrodi" is named by one of the few people to ever get rich in the aquarium trade, the famed Herbert Axelrod. Black neons have a distinct bright yellow reflective line that stands out on a deep black body. These fish are top level schooling fish and swim just below hatchet fish.
