Asian Floating Frog

The Asian floating frog comes from Indonesia, where they are a common sight floating among the rice paddies and feeding on insects. The Asian floating frog is hardy and prefers live insects like crickets and worms, but the aquatic frog will eat frozen and freeze dried treats. These amphibians are not fully aquatic. The floating frog likes to get out and sunbathe as well as search for food, so they need a floating leaf or rock they can get out on. Otherwise, he just likes to float along the surface of the water. If there are several frogs in the area, they usually join hands and float together.

Tank setup: Floating frogs need both water and a place to climb out. Give them shallow water, floating plants or leaves to rest on, and a tight lid, since they can jump.
