The Plecostomus catfish, or pleco, are famous scavenging fish. Generally omnivores, some, such as the Vampire Pleco, require meat, and others, such as the Green Phantom Pleco, are primarily algae eaters, these fish adapt easily to most aquarium conditions. Originating from moving streams and rivers of the Amazon basin, these fish come in a broad range of colors, sizes, and prices.

There is a pleco for any tank, from the L-10A Pleco for Nano tanks to the tough Alligator Pleco for the most aggressive species. We believe every aquarium should have at least one pleco.
