Striped Silver Dollar
The striped silver dollar, or tiger silver dollar, is rare and comes from the Brazilian side of the Amazon Basin. From time to time bred tiger striped silver dollars can be found from one breeder in Florida. Though related to the common silver dollar, the striped dollar is a different species. Like silver dollars, striped silver dollars are hardy. The tiger striping becomes more remarkable as the fish ages. A School of four makes a nice display like a pack of little tigers that look like fish and swim.
