The Splendid Dottyback (Pseudochromis splendens), also known as the Splendid Pinstripe Dottyback, is a truly dazzling and unique species that adds a burst of bold color to a marine aquarium. This stunning fish is easily identified by its vibrant pink or purple body with a brilliant yellow or orange stripe running from its head to its tail, perfectly contrasted by an electric blue eye. Unlike some of its more peaceful relatives, the Splendid Dottyback is more territorial and best suited for a tank with more robust tank mates.
