Melas Angelfish (
The Melas Angelfish, also referred to as the Tibicen Angelfish of Keyhole Angelfish (for the white keyhole shape on the body) is one of the largest of the Centropyge genus - dominated by smaller dwarf species. The Tibicen Angelfish is primarily a dull blue to brownish-blue. The pelvic and lower portion of the anal fins are yellow. The egg-shaped, white vertical bar found in the mid-central body area gives it its name. The Melas Angelfish is hermaphroditic and difficult to breed in an aquarium. Males and females look alike.
