The Bartlett's Anthias (Pseudanthias bartlettorum) has a sleek body that is a brilliant shade of purple or pink, with a strikingly contrasting yellow dorsal fin and tail. It is a very active, open-water swimmer that prefers to be kept in a group, which creates a breathtaking visual display as they swim together. The Bartlett's Anthias is completely reef-safe and will not harm corals or invertebrates, making it a fantastic addition to a community tank. Due to its high metabolism, it requires a well-established tank and frequent, small feedings throughout the day. Ichthyologist John Randall officially described the fish in 1981 and named the fish after Nathan Bartlett, who was the first to photograph Bartlett's anthias.
