Angelicus, like most synodontis species, will readily eat flakes, pellets, catfish wafers, frozen and live foods like brine shrimp. The synodontis angelicus is rare and offers a beautiful black and white pattern. The angelicus botia is also called the angel squeaker or polka dot squeaker and comes from the Congo basin of Cameroon. These aquarium catfish are difficult to source due to the remote origins, so they command a high price.

Tank setup: Give them caves, rocks or driftwood to hide in, and good filtration. They are most active at night.
Feeding: Feed sinking pellets once a day, ideally in the evening. They also enjoy frozen foods like bloodworms.
Tankmates: They get along with most fish of similar size, including many cichlids. They may eat very small fish.
Good to know: Young angelicus have the boldest polka dots, which become more spread out as the fish grows.
