Rosy Loach

The rosy loach, or Burmese rosy loach, is a suitable small aquarium species, perfect with exotic fish, rasboras and exotic shrimp. These loaches are very small and have a light pink and brown color. Rosy loaches are wild-caught and uncommon in the aquarium hobby. In the wild and in the fish tank, rosy loaches prefer to swim in packs and will adapt to flake food that floats to the bottom. These loaches are ideal for natural planted aquariums, and they love to run around the leaves.

Care Guide

Tank setup: Give them a planted tank with a fine gravel or sand bottom, leaf litter and gentle filtration. Keep the water clean, cool and well oxygenated.

Feeding: Feed crushed flake or micro pellets once or twice a day, only as much as they eat in a couple of minutes. They also enjoy frozen brine shrimp.

Tankmates: Keep them with other tiny, peaceful fish like rasboras, small danios, white clouds and dwarf shrimp.

Good to know: These tiny loaches swim in loose groups in the middle and lower water, unlike most bottom-hugging loaches.
