Flagtail Porthole Catfish

The flagtail porthole catfish grows to 5 inches and sports a black and white banded caudal (tail) fin. Similar body to the more common porthole catfish, flagtail cats come from Brazil, grow larger, and display a more distinct pattern. Flagtail porthole cats prefer lower pH and will not tolerate pH over 8.0. These are considered hardy Amazon catfish and will be suitable to most aquarium - except they may eat small creatures that fit in their small mouths!
