The Buffalo Head Cichlid, also called the Lionhead cichlid or African blockhead, have a distinct fat forehead that earns their common names. These cichlids are wild from the Congo River and rarely make it to the aquarium trade. Buffalo head cichlids grow to just under four inches and will do well with any African cichlid tank. The cichlids prefer a cave to inhabit and protect..
