The blue panchax, or blue wonder killifish, is found all over Pakistan and in two small hot springs in Singapore. These light blue and white killifish grow to three inches and are very hardy. The blue panchax are sold individually but will school at the upper part of the fish tank. In nature the panchax swims near the surface of the water and eats mosquito larvae.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Panchax cruise near the surface, so give them a tank of at least 20 gallons with plants and floating cover. They are excellent jumpers, so keep a tight-fitting lid on the tank. Change about 25% of the water every week.
Feeding: Feed a quality flake or floating pellet once or twice a day, plus live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp and mosquito larvae a few times a week.
Tankmates: Panchax do well with peaceful fish too big to fit in their mouth, such as larger tetras, barbs, gouramis, rainbowfish and corydoras. They will eat very small fish like lampeyes and fry.
Good to know: Panchax are surface hunters that eat insects and mosquito larvae in the wild.
