Black koi may be hard to spot in an outdoor pond but they, at least according to Japanese culture, bring luck to the pond owner. Black koi are solid black and when large are like scary sea monsters rising from the deep. True solid black koi are hard to come by and when we do get them they are about four inches in size. One black koi is a must for every pond.
