The Bellus Angelfish (Genicanthus bellus), also known as the Ornate Angelfish, is a beautiful and unique addition to a marine aquarium. This angelfish is a member of the Genicanthus genus, which is prized for being among the most peaceful of all angelfish. It is easily identified by its unique sexual dimorphism: males have a striking pattern of horizontal black and orange stripes on a creamy-white body, while females are a more uniform gray or bluish-gray. As a planktivore, it is an excellent choice for a community tank and is completely reef-safe, making it an ideal inhabitant for a reef aquarium. It is an active and graceful swimmer that requires plenty of open water to roam.
