Butterfly koi do not have the specific color patterns of the show koi, but they have their own unique bright patterns. These hybrid koi feature long, flowing fins, which give the koi their name. Due to their flowing body shape, many pond owners prefer the butterfly hybrid koi over traditional show koi. The quality specification is Select. Butterfly koi are not graded via A, AA, AAA like show koi, as their patterns are less distinguishable.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Koi grow large and are best kept in an outdoor pond with strong filtration. They are cool-water fish and do not need a heater.
Feeding: Feed a quality koi or goldfish pellet once or twice a day, only as much as they eat in a few minutes. Feed less when the water is cool.
Tankmates: Koi get along with goldfish and other pond fish.
Good to know: Each lot is an assortment, so colors and patterns will vary.
