The roseline shark, or Denison barb, is a schooling shark in the barb family. The roseline shark grows to about six inches and is not aggressive, so these fish can be put with almost any other freshwater aquarium fish. Originating in India, AquariumFish.com collects from the Karnataka region, where roselines tend to have more color.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Roselines are active schoolers that like cool, clean, well-oxygenated water with some current. Give them open swimming space, plants along the back and a tight lid.
Feeding: Feed a quality flake or small pellet with some vegetable content once or twice a day. They also enjoy frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp.
Tankmates: Roselines get along with most active, peaceful fish of similar size, such as other barbs, danios, rainbowfish, larger tetras, loaches and gouramis. Avoid slow, long-finned fish.
Good to know: Roselines are endangered in the wild in India; most in the trade today are captive-bred.
