Freshwater Fiddler Crab
Couldn't load pickup availability
The freshwater fiddler crab is aquatic but requires a place to get out of the water from time to time. Male fiddler crabs constantly wave their large claw to attract a mate. When he is the only crab in the tank, this is a sad and lonely sight. Fiddler crabs will leave fish alone and spend much of their time around rocks and other areas where food might accumulate.

Care Guide
Tank setup: Fiddler crabs need land as well as water. Give them a tank with a sandy beach or rocks to climb out on, and slightly salty (brackish) water. Keep a tight lid on the tank.
Feeding: Feed sinking pellets or shrimp food once a day. They also eat vegetables and small bits of fish food.
Tankmates: Fiddler crabs leave most fish alone, but they do best in a brackish setup with their own kind.
Good to know: Male fiddler crabs wave their one large claw to attract mates and warn off rivals.
