Blonde Naso Tang: The Elegant & Peaceful Algae Grazer
The Blonde Naso Tang (Naso elegans) also called the Orangespine Unicornfish, or Gold Naso Tang is an exceptionally graceful and beautiful fish, making it a highly sought-after addition for any spacious marine aquarium. This tang is easily identified by its unique coloration: a beautiful gray or brownish body, a striking bright yellow dorsal fin, and a prominent black stripe that runs from its eye to the tip of its nose. It is generally peaceful with other fish but can be territorial towards similar-looking species or other tangs, so it's often best to introduce it to the tank last. As a herbivore, it is a fantastic algae-eater, making it a valuable and hardworking member of any clean-up crew. It is completely reef-safe and will not harm corals or invertebrates.
Why the Blonde Naso Tang is a Great Choice:
- Stunning Appearance: Its distinctive coloration and graceful swimming make it a true showpiece.
- Excellent Algae Control: It tirelessly grazes on nuisance algae, helping to keep the tank clean and healthy.
- Generally Peaceful: It coexists well with other fish, making it a great community tank addition.
- Active Swimmer: It adds a lot of energy and elegant movement to a very large aquarium.
